UCONN SOUTH CAMPUS RESIDENCE AND DINING HALL

KGS Associates, LLC transformed a new UConn campus dorm into a fully connected living environment by building a single MDF that feeds five IDF closets via single-mode fiber, 50-pair Cat 5e copper, and P3-500 coax. We supplied and installed every rack, vertical wire manager, ladder tray, and grounding bar, then ran plenum Cat 6A and RG-6 coax throughout the residence hall to power more than 500 wireless access points and the blue-light emergency phone system students rely on. After completing all fiber and copper terminations, we labeled and certified every link to spec, handing UConn IT a ready-to-run, future-proof cabling plant that keeps dorm life fast, safe, and seamlessly connected.
